A chickens day out

Hello! :)

In true chicken fashion, they are growing like weeds, and are finally old enough to spend some time outside of the brooder and romp around outside now that the weather is beautiful. Here are some pictures of their first excursions with the great outdoors!

flying out of the transport box. they LOOOVE stretching their wings outside and flying around! So pretty.

Nugget, our Rhode Island Red, fluffing up her feathers :)

Can I help you? They found a patch of sand and had a ball pecking and digging

I LOVE FLUFFY CHICKEN BUTTS! lol

Their personalities are really starting to develop. Nugget here is the bravest, the most curious, and the greediest. lol. And being our only resident Rhode Island Red, she has the biggest comb. She's also the biggest ham for the camera ;) The white one's are the biggest "chickens" if you will, they are the jumpiest, but they are slowly coming around.

Lots of sunbathing was had !

We are really enjoying this time to bond with the chickens. Lizard had quite the following, and a lap full of chickens for the afternoon!

We brought thelanore out to stretch and munch on grass while we were out with the chickens.

If you made it this far, we'll let you in on a little surprise. Real little. Meet our newest bunny, coming home next month! I finally found the broken blue baby I've been looking for! It's going to be a great addition to our mini lop breeding program :)

SO CUTE!!
