Step One: Our veggie garden begins! My hubby did an awesome job doing all the tilling. He made it much bigger than I had expected!
Day one also meant starting the clean up for the gardens area. These next pics are kind of embarrassing, beacause this lot had not been used for many years for anything but a place to put all the old house materials that we tore out while we did construction. Our home is over 80 years old, so we are definitly doing lots of renovating. If you can make it to the end, I PROMISE it gets better!
Ok so here's the down and dirty. Day one we chopped up dead trees, cleaned up construction material leftovers, old wood, TONS of tumble weeds and lots of trash that has blown into our lot
Our boxer, being absolutely no help
Redoing the fences is definitely top priority!
Our unenthusiastic teenager, lol
Lizard working hard. Unfortunately she has her mommas wheelbarrow skills and it ended up dumping. yea I am not coordinated enough to operate a wheelbarrow. lol
WoW! you can actually see the ground! There's even GREEN! Who knew!

Yea we kicked butt in one day!!
DAY TWO:
Day two was raking, raking, raking! Raking up all the left over weeds, leaves, and sticks
Our awesome neighbor dropped in and helped! Hi Thomas!
END OF DAY TWO:
BARE GROUND!
SOOO much better! I told ya! Now the fun begins!
Believe it or not here was DAY THREE:

Thats West Texas for you! Lovely one day, snow the next! To be continued!......
